Cumbria and the Lake District by Road : The M6 provides good access to the Lake District both from the North and the South. Expect a journey time from Glasgow of approx 2 hours, from the Midlands about 2 hours 30 minutes and approx 5 hours 30 minutes from London.

Cumbria and the Lake District by Train : Main Railway Stations located in the Lake District include Lancaster, Oxenholme, Carlisle and Penrith.
